Thank you to everyone who attended in our recent webinar on batch automation in Revu 2018. My colleague Liz Wood, Bluebeam Certified Instructor, and I appreciated the opportunity to demonstrate how to save time through automation as well as to answer specific questions you have. Here are some questions and answers that we believe will interest many Revu users:
Q. Can I do a batch date stamp on a PDF drawing that has been digitally signed?
A. Yes, and the digital signature will retain the date the signature was applied.
Q. Can I batch colorize?
A. Not through the Batch Automation pulldown menu. If you have Revu eXtreme, it may be possible under Script Writing. For more information search for “Script Reference Guide” in Bluebeam Global Support and review the section on color.
Q. If we slip sheets to a set, can we apply previous batch processes to the updated set?
A. When you do a slip sheet, new sheets are added. They do not automatically acquire any batch processes done previously, but you can do the batch processes on the revised sheets.
Q. I often batch plot DWGs to PDF from AutoCAD, but all the bookmarks are not what I want. Is there a way to change and clean up the bookmark names and possibly order quickly?
A. You should be able to change bookmark information from the bookmarks tab.
Q. Can I click on a section cut in Bluebeam and have it take me to the section just as it does in Revit.
A. For the section cuts, don’t print from the Revit print menu. Print from the Bluebeam Add-In and then do the batch links in Bluebeam.
